Bury Council HR Advisor Role

Bury Council is embarking on an exciting new chapter. With a reshaped HR/OD management team and a refreshed strategy for the borough, we are focused on delivering improved outcomes for our communities and creating a thriving, inclusive place for all who live and work here. We are developing our People Strategy that will set out our aspirations and shape the work of the HR/OD service for the next five years.

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking HR Advisor to join our People and Inclusion Service. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of transformation, supporting directorates across the Council to drive performance, enable cultural change, and deliver impactful services to Bury’s citizens.

This is a career-graded role, and we are looking for candidates to join at either level.


What you’ll do:

* Work with managers to resolve workforce challenges.
* Provide advice and guidance on a wide range of HR matters, focusing on employee relations casework and organisational change.

Normal hours are 37 per week, typically during standard business hours. Flexibility may be required based on service needs, including rota work.
