LAB. are supporting a longstanding client on their search for a Payroll Assistant. They are a successful Chartered Accountants, but they offer their employees, and their clients so much more than Accounting!!

You get in what you put in, therefore, we are looking for a Payroll Assistant who genuinely thrives delivering the best customer service to their varied client base – you will not just be sat behind a desk but see yourself as part of each client’s team.
Key responsibilities
Action and process client payroll in an efficient and accurate manner. In addition, prioritise own personal and professional development to ensure the organisation continually meets the growing demands of the industry.
* Action and process client payroll including auto-enrolment and CIS requirements.
* Meet all deadlines and provide accurate information to clients.
* Ensure RTI, BACS and pension submissions are made in a timely manner.
* Ensure all deadlines are met and accurate information is provided, ensuring high customer service is provided to all clients.
* Assist in gaining HMRC agent access and reconciling PAYE accounts.
* Report progress weekly to team leader to ensure the efficient and professional functioning of the department and growth of the organisation.
* Work closely with colleagues in own team and other departments to ensure high customer service
* Proactively market services of the company to support organisational growth
* Proactively promote the use of Payroll Hub and work towards getting all clients using the software
* Consider whether processing BACS payments is appropriate and promote the service where it is seen to be beneficial to the client
* Identify own training needs to aid development within role and complete training were requested
* Participate fully in training development reviews and prepare for appraisals
* Commit to being a positive team member and raise any concerns or areas for improvement with team manager or operations manager.
* Progress personally and professionally to support the growth of the company.
* Undertake administration and support duties where necessary.
* Any other duties as required
YOU
* You will have a solid background in payroll ideally working on multiple payrolls at any given time.
* Good understanding of various payroll systems.
* Great attention to detail
