Combs Court is looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant to join the team. This is a full time role of 40 hours per week.
Combs Court is a residential service located in Stowmarket, Suffolk. The home supports up to 29 adult males and females who have a primary learning disability diagnosis. We are situated near to the local town, in the heart of the community.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
* Maintains a well-decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the site, in line with quality standards, and follows work processes which comply with statutory regulations.
* Ensures that Priory minimum standards are delivered in all site areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.
* Identifies and reports damage, faults and other related issues to the Maintenance Manager (and then actions as agreed) to ensure that environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations.
* Carry out General Maintenance tasks as defined in the Appendix and in the General Property Maintenance Guide.

What you'll bring to the role

Basic numeracy and literacy skills are required, along with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. The ideal candidate will be capable of working with minimal supervision and will demonstrate a customer-focused attitude and a strong team-working ethic. Experience and understanding in a building, plumbing, mechanical, or electrical discipline is desirable.
