We are seeking a skilled CHP Maintenance Engineer to perform field-based maintenance, emergency repairs, and system diagnostics on CHP units and gas engines. CHP Engineer Responsibilities: Conduct routine maintenance and scheduled service checks on CHP systems in line with manufacturer protocols. Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty mechanical/electrical components to minimise downtime. Troubleshoot complex system issues and implement timely resolutions. Provide 24/7 on-call support for emergency breakdowns, including out-of-hours work. Ensure compliance with UK health and safety regulations and company policies. Deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication and efficient problem-solving. CHP Engineer Requirements: Proven experience maintaining CHP systems, gas engines, or similar power generation equipment. Strong mechanical/electrical engineering background. Recognised qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ) in Gas, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Gas Safe Registered certification. Full UK driving licence. Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and manage on-call shifts. Manufacturer-specific training (MAN, Liebherr, MTU). Knowledge of sustainable energy solutions and energy efficiency practices. Previous field service experience in power generation or related sectors. Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure.Strong organisational and communication abilities. Commitment to teamwork and safety protocols.
