Band 4 Pathology Tracker

Job Summary
The post holder will provide support within the Cellular Pathology Department, ensuring accurate pathology tracking, assisting with system updates and validations, and acting as a key point of contact for technical and system-related issues. This role requires strong attention to detail, IT proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
1. Manage failsafe procedures and maintain safety worklists
2. Assist in the investigation of erroneous cases
3. Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and validation of new pathology systems, upgrades, and patches
4. Assist in the deployment of new pathology systems, upgrades, and patches
5. Support the rollout and communication of process changes
6. Assist in creating and maintaining system documentation, including process maps and test evidence
7. Log, track, and help resolve system issues
8. Act as a point of contact for technical issues
9. Handle new user accounts, password resets, and access levels
10. Carry out departmental audits
11. Monitor and manage pathology tracking
12. Perform any other duties required by the line manager
Essential Criteria
13. Experience working within a Cellular Pathology Department
14. Experience using IT systems, including Sectra, SharePoint, and WinPath Enterprise
