Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Flexible Learning Team and be part of Warwickshire's SEND Change journey. We're looking for a motivated, skilled and enthusiastic teacher to join our team of teachers, working with over 200 pupils who are unable to attend school due to ill health. The successful candidate will work alongside other subject specialist teachers, planning and delivering a core curriculum to vulnerable learners, the majority of whom have significant mental health needs. Much of the work is delivered virtually or in our community learning hubs.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver a core curriculum to vulnerable learners, most of whom have significant mental health needs, with delivery largely via virtual platforms or in community learning hubs.
* Deliver Maths for Key Stage 3 and 4; most learners are working towards GCSE examinations, and the candidate must have recent successful KS3/4 experience in a mainstream setting.
* Collaborate with other subject specialist teachers and the pastoral team of Inclusion Mentors to support pupils through creative intervention work to achieve positive outcomes and a return to an educational setting.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Recent successful Key Stage 3 and 4 experience delivering Maths in a mainstream setting.
* Recent online teaching experience is desirable.
* Fluency Duty: you must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
* This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and a Teacher Prohibition check.
