Trainee Technical Assistant (Fixed Term)
Role Overview
The Trainee Technical Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Technical team, contributing to the effective management of the Business Management System (BMS) and associated quality, audit, and compliance activities. This role offers structured training and development within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Pharmacovigilance Activities
1. Assist with day-to-day management of adverse reaction reports, product technical complaints, returns and other related activities
2. Ensure that records are meticulously maintained
Training & Development
3. Follow and complete assigned training plans in line with role requirements
Business Management System (BMS) Support
4. Assist with the administration of the Business Management System, including:
5. Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
6. ISO 9001
7. Business Continuity Management System (ISO 22301)
8. Support the administration audit programme
9. Assist with the day-to-day operation of the Quality Management System.
Documentation & Quality Administration
10. Control and maintain documentation within the company’s management systems.
11. Maintain the Technical Area on LSQM
Meetings & Reporting
12. Prepare for monthly review meetings with Customer Services, Technical, and Warehouse departments
Technical & Administrative Support
13. Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Technical Director and Technical Manager
14. Assist with general administrative duties as required
Sample Submission & Regulatory Support
15. Learn and assist with the sample submission program to NIBSC, including:
16. Processing quality and regulatory documentation
17. Maintaining sample submission spreadsheets
18. Support efficient batch release in line with demand
Records & Archiving
19. Assist with the administration and organization of the company archive system
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
20. IT literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
21. Good standard of education
22. Excellent attention to detail
23. Ability to work methodically and accurately
24. Strong organisational and time management skills
25. Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, empathy, and motivation
Desirable
26. Knowledge of pharmacovigilance
27. Knowledge of quality systems and auditing
28. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 22301
Working Hours & Commitment
29. Minimum of 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
30. Daily break of at least 30 minutes
31. Travel may be required for training, monthly office attendance, or to meet reasonable business needs
