About the role Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our Regional Civils team, supporting the delivery of Project Apollo — a major infrastructure scheme that forms part of our continued commitment to delivering exceptional civil engineering solutions across the UK. As a Site Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the successful technical delivery of this high-profile project, supporting construction activities, maintaining quality standards, and helping us to build a legacy we can all be proud of. What you'll be doing As a Site Engineer you will: Setting out and managing site engineering activities in line with project requirements. Providing technical support and ensuring construction works comply with design specifications and quality standards. Assisting in the coordination of subcontractors and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme. Conducting site surveys, inspections, and quality checks. Supporting the site management team with progress reporting, materials management, and document control. Promoting and upholding Balfour Beatty’s high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance. Who we're looking for You will have the following: A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Proven experience in a Site Engineering role within civil engineering or infrastructure. Proficiency in setting out and use of survey equipment (e.g., GPS, total station). Strong understanding of construction methods, standards, and health & safety requirements. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A proactive, collaborative approach and commitment to quality delivery.
