We are looking for a Production Operator to join our busy Sawmill. You will be part of ateam responsible for creating a range of timber products as well as moving, sorting andpacking timber. Whilst a lot of the tasks are automated, there will be some degree ofmanual handling, lifting, bending and twisting. No previous experience is required as fulltraining will be given.Hours of work:47.5 hrs per week, 07:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday, with 30 minute unpaid lunch.Key tasks and responsibilities:
* Ensuring good housekeeping of workstations
* Operating sawmilling machinery
* Adhering to all Health, Safety and Quality standards and instructions
* Operation of Mobile Plant Vehicles
* Working towards set production targets
* Manual handling of timber
Good communication skills
* Ability to work well in a team to achieve production goals and meet required standards
* Can follow written work instructions
* Must undertake all necessary training
* Have a flexible approach to work, understanding that you may undertake additional or
other duties necessary to meet the needs of the company
* Having previous experience of working in a manufacturing/construction environment
would be advantageous
