Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for greater flexibility while continuing to make a meaningful impact on young people's lives?
Teaching Personnel is recruiting Specialist Teaching Assistants to provide high-quality cover across a collection of SEN and SEMH provisions throughout Frome and the surrounding area.
These settings support pupils with a wide range of additional needs, meaning no two assignments are ever the same. Rather than being tied to one workplace, you'll have access to numerous specialist environments, allowing you to broaden your experience while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The Role
This position requires individuals who can confidently integrate into existing teams and provide immediate support where needed.
• Assist pupils with personalised learning programmes
• Support students with Autism Spectrum Condition, social communication difficulties and emotional regulation needs
• Facilitate engagement in lessons and practical activities
• Promote independence and confidence-building
• Implement behaviour support strategies effectively
• Support pupils during transitions throughout the school day
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and wider professionals
• Encourage positive educational and personal development outcomes
Due to the ad-hoc nature of supply work, we require candidates who can quickly establish rapport and maintain high standards from day one.
What Makes You Suitable?
• Previous experience within SEN, SEMH or specialist education
• A proactive and adaptable approach
• Strong classroom support skills
• Confidence managing challenging situations appropriately
• Excellent organisational abilities
• A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning
