Role: Residential Deputy Manager - Children's Home
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Base salary of £31,105.28, with potential earnings up to £34,362.56 through sleep-in shifts.
Location: Carlisle
Specific Hours: 42 hours per week - shift pattern on rotation
About Us
At North Lakes Children's Services, we are dedicated to providing therapeutic residential care and education for boys aged 6-18. We are currently looking for an experienced Residential Deputy Manager to join our vibrant team at our 4-bedroom home in Carlisle. Your Responsibilities
* Leadership: Ensure the Statement of Purpose reflects the needs of the young people and outlines staff qualifications and expertise.
* Communication: Develop effective communication strategies to facilitate information flow within the team.
* Service Management: Oversee the delivery of quality services to young people, ensuring compliance with our policies and procedures.
* Staff Development: Identify training needs and assist in staff training to foster professional growth.
* Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations.
* Quality Assurance: Set, monitor, and evaluate performance standards for individuals and the team.
* General Management: Provide vision and leadership, ensuring effective workload management and adherence to company policies.
What We’re Looking For
* Understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
* Relevant qualifications: Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* A willingness to learn and grow.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a small team.
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).
* Experience with Emotional Behavioural Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is a plus.
* A full, clean UK driving licence and flexibility to cover at other Residential Homes as needed.
