Support Officer Role at Central Bedfordshire
We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible individuals to join our team as Support Officers in our homes located in Central Bedfordshire. These homes are safe, stimulating, and welcoming environments with excellent transport links to the A1, M1, and train stations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Help meet the physical, emotional, and personal care needs of children and young people.
* Assist in assessing needs and developing, implementing, and reviewing Care Plans.
* Support young people in daily activities, including hygiene, life skills, shopping, and financial management.
* Provide personal care, support individual development, and promote positive childcare practices.
* Take responsibility for keyworking, attending relevant meetings, and maintaining up-to-date Care Plans and Risk Assessments.
* Work closely with other agencies and families to support the young people.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children, young people, or adults, particularly supporting children with disabilities.
* Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare is preferred; support to complete this qualification will be provided if not already held.
* Flexibility to work shifts including days, nights, sleep-ins, evenings, and weekends.
* Positive, practical, adaptable, and people-focused attitude.
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Desirable Skills:
* Diploma Level 3 in Residential Child Care or equivalent.
* Understanding of cultural diversity and ability to work inclusively.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
* Commitment to professional development.
