Reports to: Managing Director
Role Overview
Developing and delivering effective marketing and communications strategies and activities for the Chamber, Cumbria Business Growth Hub, Made in Cumbria, and other Chamber initiatives and brands across the business (both B2B and B2C). Engage actively with, provide services to, and ensure the active engagement of SMT members and wider teams responsible for those activities. Play a key role in driving the Chamber forward, building on current successes and leveraging developing technologies and opportunities.
Skill Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed:
1. Robust, straightforward, target-focused, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
2. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships internally and externally with a wide variety of partners
3. Graduate or relevant experience equivalent to graduate capabilities, ideally with a marketing qualification
4. Good analytical skills, proven administration, and IT competencies
5. Self-confident, quick learner with potential for further development
6. Strong administration, coordination, and organisational skills
7. Excellent marketing and promotions capability with proven experience
8. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
9. Strong track record of delivering against targets in a challenging commercial environment
10. Effective writing for online and offline platforms, with proven ability to create engaging content
11. Capability to explore and implement opportunities offered by AI and other technological developments
