Overview
We are looking for a Technical Services Maintenance Manager with Hard Services FM experience, to work at one of our client sites, University of Hertfordshire.
The Technical Services Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading the technical services teams to drive technical excellence, ensuring SHE policies are rigorously enforced with a compilation of technical reports. You will be liaising with and understanding client needs and owning and delivering larger/technically complex services. You need to drive energy/financial improvements and efficiencies, create, and deliver related monthly performance reports.
As the Technical Services Maintenance Manager, you will be a Technical Subject Matter Expert and lead definition of client needs; sourcing solutions/projects, submitting quotes, processing subsequent orders. You will be expected to oversee and/or deliver projects on time, on budget and in accordance with all appropriate laws, regulations, client standards and policies. You will support and lead site engineering teams with Asset Life Cycle and Performance Management, planned preventative maintenance. You will create and support training and process guides for site leads and work with the client to define and deliver initiatives, collaborating with other FM Teams.
Responsibilities
* Lead technical services teams to drive technical excellence and enforce SHE policies with technical reporting.
* Liaise with clients to understand needs and own/deliver large/technically complex services.
* Drive energy and financial improvements and prepare related monthly performance reports.
* Act as Technical Subject Matter Expert; define client needs, source solutions/projects, submit quotes, and process orders.
* Oversee and deliver projects on time, on budget, and in compliance with laws, regulations, client standards, and policies.
* Support and lead site engineering teams with Asset Life Cycle and Performance Management; manage planned preventative maintenance.
* Create and support training and process guides for site leads; collaborate with other FM Teams to deliver client initiatives.
Skills & Experience / Qualifications
* Experience in Electrical, HVAC or water services.
* Demonstrable experience as a technical manager.
* Demonstrable experience in creating and implementing energy management strategy for a client.
* Experience in Project Management.
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* H&S qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH or equivalent).
* Full UK driver’s license.
* Strong communication skills with all levels of the business.
* Able to manage teams of engineers and sub-contractors.
* Degree or other qualification in engineering or building services.
* Experience in CMMS system (ideally E-Logs).
* Experience of HV systems.
