An Outstanding-rated school with a well-established SEN provision in Dorset is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join its leadership and inclusion team on a full-time, permanent basis, starting April. The Role
* Leading and overseeing SEND provision across the school
* Managing EHCP processes, annual reviews, and statutory requirements
* Coordinating interventions and tailored support for pupils with additional needs
* Working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, families, and external agencies
* Supporting and advising staff on inclusive classroom practice
* Monitoring progress of pupils with SEND and contributing to whole-school improvement
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* NASENCO qualification (or willingness to complete if not already held)
* Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting
* Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCPs, and best practice
* Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
* A calm, professional, and pupil-centred approach
