The Opportunity
We’re hiring a commercially driven Account Manager to join a growing business within the logistics sector, playing a critical role in driving sustainable revenue growth while protecting and expanding an existing customer base. This is a high‑impact, hands‑on role sitting at the intersection of Sales, Customer Services, and Finance – ideal for someone who thrives on structure, ownership, and accountability.
What You’ll Be Doing
Revenue Growth & Account Development
* Proactively grow revenue across new and existing logistics customers through structured account plans
* Identify upsell, cross‑sell and expansion opportunities using activity, trend, and credit analysis
* Re‑engage down‑trading or inactive customers through targeted outbound call campaigns
* Convert stalled or lost quotes into active bookings by addressing root causes and re‑positioning solutions
Cross‑Functional Alignment
* Work closely with Customer Services and Finance using a structured Sales–CS–Finance model
* Proactively manage customer ageing and debt exposure
* Align commercial activity with credit risk to protect margin and revenue
* Own weekly priority customer lists and ensure proactive engagement where activity has dropped
Systems & Reporting
* Use HubSpot as the single source of truth for call cycles, pipeline, account activity, onboarding, and retention
* Maintain accurate, action‑focused reporting that drives decisions and follow‑up
What Success Looks Like
* Reduced customer attrition and stalled trading
* Increased wallet share across the existing logistics customer base
* Faster, more structured conversion of new business
* Strong alignment between Sales, Customer Services, and Finance
* Consistent, disciplined execution with clear ownership
About You
* Commercially minded with experience in account management, sales, or a fast‑paced service environment
* Comfortable with outbound calling, structured follow‑up, and managing multiple accounts
* Data‑driven, organised, and proactive – nothing slips through the cracks
* Enjoys working cross‑functionally to solve problems and drive results
* Thrives in a full‑time, office‑based environment with clear expectations
