Main Duties: As an Accounts Assistant, your main duties include: * Correctly assign bank transfers to tenant accounts. * Oversee the accounts receivable ledger to confirm all payments are recorded and accurately posted. * Conduct daily reconciliations of customer payments, including bank transactions and online payment platforms. * Reach out to customers regarding overdue invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence. * Help in compiling aged debtor reports and escalate concerns when necessary. * Address billing discrepancies and resolve issues. * Keep customer records precise and up to date. * Provide support for month-end and year-end closing tasks, especially in receivables reporting. * Assist with processing refunds or issuing credit notes when applicable.
