Job Description: The Compliance Manager - Monitoring collaborates with Local Compliance Officers, Compliance Managers, business units, and functions to analyze compliance risks and control performance. They detect control weaknesses and issues, providing written reports to management and relevant governing bodies on the overall control environment status. The role involves working with the UK Compliance team and Consumer business to oversee Chubb's Appointed Representatives (AR). Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the design and operational effectiveness of control environments through regular testing and assessment.
* Validating monitoring activities conducted by line managers and control owners to ensure regulatory compliance and appropriate customer outcomes.
* Conducting in-depth monitoring reviews of the Consumer business, including franchise stores and call listening.
* Reporting monitoring results to the Consumer team and advising the Regional Compliance Officer, EMEA, on necessary control improvements.
Key deliverables include:
* Regular assurance reports on ARs, highlighting issues, recommendations, and remediation timelines.
* Developing methodologies for risk rating ARs and agents.
* Establishing AR monitoring standards and expectations.
* Creating new AR reporting mechanisms.
The role requires close collaboration with the UK Compliance team, providing day-to-day advisory support to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analysis of Control Data: Assess control data across the compliance risk universe, focusing on AR oversight.
* Reporting: Draft detailed reports on control environment effectiveness, issues, concerns, and mitigation steps outside the company's risk appetite.
* Strengthening Controls: Assist in developing and implementing robust controls meeting legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
* Engagement: Collaborate with risk and control owners to maintain an effective control environment.
* Teamwork: Work with the Legal and Compliance teams, the business, and external parties to support compliance reviews and analysis.
* Additional Support: Perform tasks as directed by the Senior Compliance Manager (Monitoring).
Qualifications:
* Strong knowledge of the retail insurance industry.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage competing priorities.
* Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with the business.
* Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and recognize alternatives to manage compliance risks.
* Experience with Mobile Phone Insurance networks and AR management is desirable.
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
