We are looking for a qualified Pharmacy Assistant to join our team for 18.75 hours per week, worked over 3 days. The role is varied and constantly evolving to provide pharmaceutical care to community hospitals, mental health inpatient wards, mental health community teams, and specialised clinical services across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. You will work with a diverse range of staff and patients and must be able to work collaboratively to deliver the highest quality of care. This is a developmental role with associated assessments and training expectations. Currently there are no weekend duties, bank holiday work or late nights, though you may be expected to work some Saturday mornings in the future. Please note the Trust will not routinely provide sponsorship for this role; employment on a time‑limited visa does not guarantee sponsorship at point of expiry. As a senior pharmacy assistant, you will lead tasks related to medicines procurement, pharmacy IT system administration, dispensing, or stock delivery to wards. This will involve regular travel across the Trust to visit clinical areas as part of our stock top‑up service. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, and to supervise or line‑manage designated members of staff.
Benefits
* 27 days leave plus bank holidays, increasing up to 33 days with long service
* Generous NHS pension and enhanced pay when you work unsocial hours
* Flexible and agile working opportunities
* Great maternity, paternity, and adoption support
* Wide range of supportive staff networks
* Health and wellbeing opportunities
We value diversity and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities.
