Job Title: Compliance Administrator
Location: Basingstoke
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4.30pm
Contract: Temp to Perm
Are you an organised administrator looking for your next step? We're recruiting a Compliance Administrator to join our client’s team in Basingstoke on a temp‑to‑perm basis. This is an entry‑level role in a specialist area. You'll use your existing admin skills while learning about customs compliance, data checks, and documentation.
What you'll do
* Carry out routine checks on customs data (product details, codes, volumes, and weights).
* Support daily checks on inbound customs data before stock is received.
* Make sure customs declarations are cleared and the right procedures are used before goods arrive.
* Work with clearance agents to confirm import details and follow up on any issues.
* Check documents before goods arrive, correcting errors or escalating where needed.
* Deal with discrepancies promptly, keeping clear and accurate records for audit purposes.
* Log stock movements in the Customs Warehouse system.

About you
* Previous admin experience (office, data entry, customer support, or similar).
* Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Can prioritise workload and work both independently and in a team.
* Flexible and happy to support other teams when needed.
* Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
* Experience with NAV Dynamics and Descartes is desirable but not essential.
