You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Payroll, Pension and Benefit administration activities across the UK, ensuring accurate and timely processing in line with current UK legislation. This role will engage with employees, line managers and HR operational leads to deliver a quality and timely service. As a member of our Shared Services team you will work flexibly from our new Quorum Business Park office two days a week and remotely three days. Responsibilities
* Drive excellence in service delivery, ensuring the team completes activities in line with statutory or agreed Equans processes.
* Co‑ordinate all audit activity for the team, with timely monthly sign‑off.
* Lead business process mapping, process transformation and improvement sessions with the team and implement improvements in liaison with the Payroll Manager and other key members of the HR Operations Team.
* Improve and maintain process documentation and procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose, taking into consideration stakeholder feedback.
* Motivate, manage, lead and coach the team to deliver service excellence against key performance indicators and challenging metrics.
* Coach team members in their activities to support their individual development, provide feedback on areas for improvement, and give hands‑on support where required.
* Manage a clear plan of monthly and annual activity for the team to understand peak periods.
* Develop strong working relationships with the Shared Service Centre Leadership Team and other team leaders to provide a seamless service to those outside Shared Services.
* Work closely with the SAP technical teams to analyze any system build requirements and verify any data loaded.
* Deputise for the Payroll Manager as required.
Qualifications
* Team Leader or Supervisory experience – Essential.
* Coaching or experience in developing others – Essential.
* Understanding of GDPR – Essential.
* HR & Payroll systems – Desirable.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
* Knowledge of current GDPR.
* Customer service experience.
* Attention to detail.
* SAP – Desirable.
* Ability to prioritise and work with colleagues to meet deadlines.
* This role includes a Basic DBS check; therefore the ability to pass is essential.
