This is an exciting role within the Hazardous Waste team, providing leadership to ensure the regime is sustainably resourced, meets audit standards, and remains future-proofed.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct a holistic review of hazardous waste charge funding and outcomes, including identifying improvement options.
2. Implement recommendations from this review, such as:
o Assessing the distribution of funds
o Evaluating KPIs
o Developing and implementing new working methods
3. Support the implementation of Improving Regulation initiatives.
4. Promote and increase visibility of Area Hazardous Waste activities.
Team
The Environment & Business (E&B) Hazardous Waste team is a small, high-performing team within the Regime Regulation division of E&B Waste & Resources Regulation. We lead on hazardous waste management, supporting government, industry, and colleagues to ensure proper handling of hazardous waste.
