Dept - Highways and Public Protection - Magdalen House Sefton Council is a vibrant local authority that is already on a journey of aspiration and ambition as it works towards delivering its exciting Vision 2030. The Transport Planning team, which embraces strategic transport planning, highways and structures design and highways development control plays a vital role in supporting the Councils regeneration ambitions. Exciting and transformation projects are being developed for the town centres and a long term programme of activity, aimed at supporting active travel, improved highway safety and public realm and electric vehicle infrastructure, is being developed. Sefton Council is seeking the services of a committed, enthusiastic and experienced Project Manager, with specific experience in the development and delivery of transport projects to help shape and deliver this programme. As part of the Strategic Transport Planning and Investment Team you will play a significant role in the delivery of the Council’s ambitious Growth and Strategic Investment Programme and transformation of the borough’s transportation infrastructure in line with our emerging Low Carbon Transport Strategy. You will collaborate closely with colleagues with the Regeneration and other teams and with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and other local, regional and national partners. Your role will involve the project management of transport projects/business cases from inception to delivery, a contribution to the development of transport policies and strategies and a key role in the management and delivery of the Council’s Transport Capital Programme.
