Hours: 30 per week, 39 weeks sessional
James Gillespie's High School is looking for 2 part-time School Support Assistants:
1. School Receptionist
2. School Support Assistant based in the school office and across the school (Classroom Assistants)
Located in the Marchmont area of Edinburgh, James Gillespie's is a fully co-educational comprehensive school since the 1970s and hosts Edinburgh's Ard-Sgoil (Gaelic Secondary School).

The post holders will assist with tasks related to the administration and organization of teaching resources, student records, and documentation. There will be no direct teaching responsibilities or sole supervision of students.
The ideal candidates will work well under pressure, enjoy working with people, and possess strong organizational and time-management skills. These positions involve regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful candidates will be required to join or update their PVG Scheme membership and provide necessary checks. Candidates who have spent over 3 months outside the UK in the last 5 years will need an Overseas Criminal Record Check. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
