3. Develop, maintain, and enhance a range of credit risk models, including internal scorecards.
4. Design and produce new management information and reporting to support business and risk requirements.
5. Deliver clear, meaningful MI to senior stakeholders.
6. Perform regular portfolio reviews across the core business and subsidiary lending activities, undertaking detailed deep dives to analyse borrower behaviour and emerging trends.
7. Carry out broader data analysis to support lending strategy, risk appetite, and overall portfolio profitability.
8. Take ownership of the Group's IFRS 9 impairment model, ensuring ongoing accuracy and regulatory compliance.
9. Use data and analytics to identify future risk trends and potential growth opportunities within the customer base.
10. Respond to ad‑hoc requests, investigating specific risk issues and providing insight to support business decisions.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Credit Risk Analyst should have:
11. At least 2 years of experience working in a credit risk role, ideally within financial services.
12. Solid understanding of the credit lifecycle, credit risk concepts, exposure measurement, and regulatory frameworks.
13. Proven capability in building financial models from scratch.
14. Advanced Excel knowledge.
15. Comfortable handling large and complex data sets.
16. Working knowledge of credit systems, lending data, and risk MI.
17. Understanding of Credit Reference Agency data and its practical application.
18. Experience using data and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Power Query.
