This Reception supply teaching role is designed for Early Years specialists who want to teach in a way that fits around their life. Whether you enjoy leading phonics sessions, supporting play‑based learning, or helping young children build confidence and independence, this role offers variety and meaningful impact across local schools.
We're looking for nurturing, enthusiastic and adaptable Reception teachers to join our supply team in Haywards Heath and the surrounding areas. Each placement brings a new classroom, new routines and fresh opportunities to support children at the very start of their learning journey.
Responsibilities
* Delivering engaging, child‑centred lessons in Reception classes
* Supporting early phonics, literacy, numeracy and social development
* Creating a warm, inclusive and well‑managed learning environment
* Adapting quickly to different schools, routines and class needs
* Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupil wellbeing
* Working collaboratively with EYFS staff and following school policies
Qualifications
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching in Reception or across the Early Years Foundation Stage
* Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child‑led learning
* A nurturing, patient and creative approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Someone reliable, adaptable and confident in new environments
