As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex and high-risk capital projects across our estate. Acting as the university’s client-side lead, you will take full accountability for cost, programme, risk, quality, and compliance from early design and business case development through to construction, handover, and post-occupancy review.
Reporting to the Associate Director – Project Delivery, the role requires strong leadership of multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams, alongside close engagement with academic, operational, and professional services stakeholders. The Senior Project Manager will play a key role in embedding best practice, ensuring compliance with statutory and internal governance requirements, and maintaining delivery confidence across the capital portfolio.
We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of leading a £multi-million portfolio of projects from inception to completion in a project leadership role. Experience of delivering projects in a high-paced, dynamic, live operational environment is essential, with experience of higher education, life sciences and public realm projects being advantageous.
