On-Site Infrastructure EngineerFawley (On-site)£42,800 (DOE)Start Date: 6th July 202612-Month ContractWe're working with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced On-Site Infrastructure Engineer to support critical IT operations across multiple UK and international sites.This is a hands-on role where you'll act as the key on-site technical expert, ensuring infrastructure reliability while supporting global IT teams.The RoleAs the on-site 'hands and eyes' for IT, you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting network, server, and site infrastructure, while playing a key role in project delivery and service improvement.You'll work across data centre operations, infrastructure support, and stakeholder coordination to ensure seamless IT service delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on support across network, server, and infrastructure environmentsCarry out IMAC activities (installs, moves, adds, changes)Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issuesPerform physical infrastructure tasks (racking, cabling, patching)Manage server rooms and comms environmentsSupport network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/voice)Handle incidents, requests, and changes via ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow)Coordinate with vendors and manage repairs/logisticsSupport infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrationsEnsure compliance with security, safety, and IT standardsWhat We're Looking For3-5 years' experience in Network / Infrastructure EngineeringStrong hands-on IT infrastructure and troubleshooting experienceKnowledge of cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) and virtualizationExperience with networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto)Familiarity with modern networking concepts (TCP/IP, SD-WAN, Zero Trust)Experience with servers, storage (NetApp/Dell EMC), and end-user devicesComfortable working with physical infrastructure (cabling, racking, hardware handling)CCNA (preferred but not essential)Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilityHighly organised with the ability to multitaskComfortable working independently and within global teamsProactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvementAdditional RequirementsFull UK driving licence (travel between sites required)Flexibility to work outside standard hours when neededParticipation in an on-call rotaLocationBased at Fawley Refinery, supporting:UK Midstream sitesLondon ColoNordic locationsThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing IT environment where you'll have real impact on infrastructure reliability and service delivery.Apply now or get in touch to find out more.If you receive suspicious outreach claiming to be from us, please contact us via the ManpowerGroup website.TPBN1_UKTJ
