6 Month Contract With A Local Authority
Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of highway maintenance and associated infrastructure projects within a local authority environment. This is a contract role requiring strong technical understanding, stakeholder engagement, and contractor management experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and delivery of highway maintenance and infrastructure projects from inception through to completion.
* Manage project scope, programme, risks, and budgets to ensure successful outcomes.
* Oversee and coordinate the work of consultants and contractors, ensuring performance and accountability.
* Provide technical input and guidance, including design-related considerations.
* Engage effectively with stakeholders, including elected members, parish councils, and the public.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and local authority processes.
* Conduct and attend site visits as required to monitor progress and quality of delivery.
Requirements
* Proven experience working within a local authority environment.
* Demonstrable experience managing highway maintenance and infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of design processes and technical project requirements.
* Experience in developing and delivering infrastructure schemes.
* Track record of managing consultants and external partners.
* Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills, including working with elected members and parish stakeholders.
* Experience managing contractors and holding them accountable for delivery, quality, and performance.

* Bi-Weekly Payments
* 37 Hours Per Week
* Potential increase to 12 Months Contract
* Hybrid Working - 3 days WFH
