We have an opportunity for a Works Supervisor and Package Manager to join our team on The M6 Routine Operation & Maintenance project near Lockerbie. As a Major Maintenance Engineer, you will be a member of the contract team reporting to the Major Maintenance Manager.

Your Profile
Responsibilities
* Organize and coordinate logistical operations and procedures for major maintenance contracts, ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
* Coordinate with Autolink and external organizations for maintenance, inspections, and upgrades, managing various work packages, which may include night shifts and weekends.
* Develop and implement Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Inspection and Test Plans.
* Review site scope of works before starting packages.
* Verify subcontractors have valid CSCS cards and plant operatives have relevant CPCS cards.
* Implement ITPs, ensure checks are completed, and hold points are adhered to, with sign-offs by subcontractors and SRM.
* Participate in start-up and progress meetings, understanding each package's scope of work.
* Manage subcontractors in line with CMS requirements, record meeting minutes, and ensure timely completion of actions.
* Coordinate with the Employer's Agent, Statutory Undertakers, Emergency Services, and other third parties.
* Assist in compiling information for the Health and Safety File.
* Ensure COSHH is implemented.
* Maintain vehicle logs and ensure vehicles are clean and well-maintained.
* Report any H&S breaches immediately, halt work if necessary, and document incidents per SRM procedures.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
* Experience in Highways Maintenance and understanding of relevant processes.
* Knowledge of maintenance products, construction details, regulations, and quality standards.
* Familiarity with packages like Insight, Highstone, IRIS, and SMS.
* Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or related fields.
