Raytheon UK have a full time, permanent opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on our Gloucester, Manchester or London sites. You will be part of our experienced software development function, working in a cross‑functional team, delivering and deploying critical software across a variety of business areas.
Due to the interesting work we do and the sector this team is working in, we require all candidates to already hold eDV.
Software engineers at every level are offered development or challenges based on professional profile.
Responsibilities
* Design and build software using industry best practice
* Collaborate with stakeholders and other engineers
* Contribute to the completion of project milestones
* Contribute to continuous improvement within the team
* Collaborate with peers on technical direction within the team
Required Skills and Experience
* Experience working in an Agile delivery team
* Java development using Spring Boot
* JavaScript frameworks – React, Angular, Vue etc.
* Cloud services (AWS or Azure)
* Experience building enterprise level web applications or services
* Docker / Kubernetes containerisation and orchestration
* Unit and automation testing
* Familiarity with data visualisation techniques and tools
* Familiarity with structured and unstructured storage of data
* Use of code repositories, familiarity with branching strategies, pull requests and merge processes
* MongoDB
* Apache Kafka
* Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
