Finance Manager

Backed by investment and in partnership with the Road Haulage Association, we're building the go-to platform for shippers and hauliers nationwide. With AI at its core, our technology reduces inefficiencies, improves sustainability, and ensures smarter connections between hauliers and shippers.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-growth scale-up where your work will have real impact. You'll be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring best practice across the function.
Key Duties
* Lead and manage the finance team, overseeing all daily accounting operations.
* Own the production of accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets.
* Weekly P&L reporting
* Manage cashflow, credit control, and supplier/customer payments to ensure smooth operations.
* Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, and liaise with external auditors.
* Provide commercial analysis and financial insights to support the leadership team.
* Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and processes to support scale-up growth.
* Partner with internal stakeholders (sales, operations, product) to drive profitability and efficiency.
* Report directly to the directors, acting as a key member of the leadership team.
Key Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 3+ years PQE.
* Proven track record in a finance management role, ideally within a scale-up or SME environment.
* Strong knowledge of accounting standards, compliance, and reporting requirements.
* Commercially minded with the ability to provide insight beyond the numbers.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* High level of proficiency in accounting platforms (e.g. Xero, Sage, Quickbooks) and Excel.
* Transport or logistics sector experience desirable but not essential.
Package
* Salary: £45,000~, dependent on experience.
* Core Hours: 08:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday, with flexibility.
