Retail Assistant - Sodexo | Army HQ Andover
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, delivering outstanding customer service, and contributing to the success of the business.
The successful candidate will help maintain high retail standards, support sales growth, and ensure customers receive a positive shopping experience at all times.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver excellent customer service and create a positive customer experience.
- Operate tills, card payment systems, and other retail technology.
- Handle cash accurately and follow all cash handling procedures.
- Replenish stock, maintain stock levels, and assist with deliveries.
- Ensure shelves are well-stocked, correctly priced, and attractively presented.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold food in line with food safety standards.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised retail areas.
- Follow health, safety, security, and company procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues when required.
- Attend training sessions and team meetings to support continuous development.
What You Bring:
Essential Requirements
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Basic understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience
- Previous retail experience.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Experience handling cash and operating till systems.
- Experience in food preparation or food retail environments.
