Our in-house legal team is growing as we accommodate an ever-increasing client base, which includes leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies as well as public sector and pro-bono clients, each with unique contractual arrangements. We are therefore seeking a Commercial Contracts Assistant to join us and support in the review of contracts, Master Service Agreements and confidentiality agreements executed between Costello Medical and our clients and suppliers. It is anticipated that our contracting arrangements will become increasingly complex as we continue to expand to new markets, including China and the US; we are looking for an individual excited by this prospect and keen to develop their career with the company. Alongside contract coordination and review, you will have the opportunity to gain commercial insight into business strategy by assisting with a range of legal matters across the company, working alongside members of our Operations division, including matters relating to data protection and employment.
As Commercial Contracts Assistant, You Will Take Responsibility For
* Drafting and reviewing various commercial agreements, including Master Service Agreements and confidentiality agreements, with support from senior colleagues
* Tracking and monitoring the progress of contracts, using DocuSign and other programmes, to ensure that these are signed in appropriate time frames
* Liaising with internal project managers, information security and finance teams and providing guidance on the contracting process
* Supporting senior colleagues within the Legal team by monitoring compliance with contractual obligations and developing appropriate processes
* Supporting with administration arising from business development activities
* In time and with increased experience, communicating directly with our clients’ procurement teams, which could involve promoting our services and negotiating terms to Costello Medical’s benefit
About You
* A degree level or higher qualification (minimum 2:2 in a relevant subject, such as business or law). Legal training is not essential, though a keen interest is
* Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to review documents with a meticulous eye
* Commercial awareness
* Excellent written communication skills
* Experience using Microsoft Office
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload and prioritise accordingly
* Dedication to providing excellent customer service to our scientific team
* Proactivity and the desire to take on new challenges
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge, or prior experience, of dealing with data protection compliance
* Experience dealing with clients in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industries
* Prior experience reviewing commercial contracts, such as Master Services Agreements, and other legal documents
What We Offer
