Packaging and Brewery Supervisor

Saltaire Brewery is looking for an enthusiastic and quality-driven Packaging and Brewery Supervisor to play a key role in our brewing and packaging operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected independent brewery and make your mark on award-winning beers enjoyed across the UK.
You'll be the vital link between our production team and senior operations, ensuring every pint, bottle, can, and keg meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Operations
* Supervise bottling, kegging, and canning runs to ensure consistency and quality.
* Set up, operate, and maintain packaging equipment.
* Carry out in-line QA checks against product specifications.
* Monitor yields, wastage, and line efficiency, report on daily metrics.
Brewery Operations
* Assist with brewing schedules, CIP (clean-in-place), and cellar operations.
* Manage tank transfers, conditioning, and carbonation.
* Monitor stock of raw materials and packaging supplies.
Team Supervision
* Lead, motivate, and support a small team of packaging and brewery operatives.
* Train staff and ensure SOPs, hygiene, and safety standards are followed.
* Organise daily schedules and allocate resources to meet deadlines.
* Encourage a positive team culture, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous development.
Quality & Compliance
* Maintain records to meet SALSA/BRC requirements.
* Uphold hygiene and cleanliness across all production areas.
* Support continuous improvement projects.
What We're Looking For
* 2+ years in a brewery or food/beverage production environment.
* Hands-on experience with bottling, kegging, or canning.
* Organisational skills with the ability to lead and develop a small team.
* Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
* Knowledge of brewery hygiene and safety practices.
Desirable:
* Brewing/packaging qualifications (IBD, GCB, or equivalent).
* Forklift truck license.
* Experience with brewery software (e.g. Breww, Brewman).
* Previous exposure to SALSA/BRC compliance.

* 10–12 hour shifts

* Monday–Friday with weekend availability
