Fire & Security Minor Works Engineer - Glasgow
Mitie Fire & Security are looking to grow their team with the appointment of an experienced Fire & Security Minor Works Engineer.
Our Minor Works Engineers
The positions will involve working closely with the Minor Works / Installations Team on small projects from inception through to completion on CCTV, Access Control, Intruder and Fire Alarm Systems. The successful Engineer will contribute to the team and will strive to deliver world-class customer service and will be rewarded for doing so.
1. Liaise with the Lead Engineer on all troublesome sites, including any critical issues.
2. Work closely with subcontract labour and onsite clients.
3. Maintain Fire & Security Systems in your region when demand requires.
4. Ensure effective communication with customers and schedulers when planning site visits.
5. Utilise all customer portals as directed by your Lead Engineer in accordance with the customer requirements.
6. From time to time, you may be required to support the Service Engineers on particular jobs, and occasionally work slightly out of your designated postcode area.
7. Plan and respond to routine and reactive call visits in your area.
8. Maintain your stock levels with support from the Stores team.
9. Attend training sessions as and when required.
10. Attend Engineering team meetings as and when required.
11. Identify any personal training and development needs to help you provide the best possible customer service.

Who We're Looking For

For this opportunity, we are specifically looking for candidates who offer:
12. Good all-round knowledge of Fire and Security Systems.
13. Experience of working in a similar role previously - Fire & Security Installation Experience (minimum of 2 years)
14. Technical background in the electrical/electronic industry.
15. Experience of front-line customer contact preferred.
16. Knowledge of current industry standards and able to commission multi-disciplined systems.
17. Self-motivated and able to organise workload, with the ability to work on own initiative.
18. Highly organised, professional and computer literate.
19. Full UK Driving Licence.
