Citi is looking for talented individuals to join our Quantitative Analysis off-cycle placement program within the Markets team in London. Markets at Citi provides world-class solutions that are as sophisticated and diverse as the needs of the corporates, institutions, governments and individual investors we serve in 160 countries and territories. We work on trading floors in over 80 countries, enriching client relationships around the clock. The breadth and depth of our underwriting, structuring, securitisation, sales and trading and distribution capabilities span asset classes and currencies, sectors and industries. Our expertise covers a vast array of products including equities, commodities, credit, futures and foreign exchange (FX).
What You’ll Do
* Create, implement, and manage the mathematical models that drive the Markets business.
* Price, trade, and manage the risk associated with a diverse range of market products.
* Collaborate with traders and salespeople in technical product areas, providing crucial assistance in addressing client needs.
* Develop new products that align with the firm’s risk framework.
* Market new products to salespeople and occasionally present solutions directly to clients.
* Respond to client-specific requests for product solutions, leveraging your expertise and creativity.
What We’ll Need From You
* You are pursuing or have obtained a Masters or PhD in Engineering, Maths, Physics, Computer Science or other scientific disciplines.
* You have a good understanding of finance and an interest in Markets.
* You are proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* You have knowledge of programming languages (VBA, Python) desirable.
* You have excellent interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail and exceptional planning and organisational abilities.
* You are intellectually curious and proactively seek out new and creative ideas.
* You are a self-starter who thrives both independently and in a team, with a commitment to personal growth and career development, including mobility and flexibility.
* You have a commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making.
* You are fluent in written and spoken English.
