Choices Homecare are seeking compassionate Domiciliary Care Service Providers for our locations across the Barnsley & Penistone region. Supporting individuals to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own home and community, empowering them to live the life they choose. About Choices Homecare We are seeking Care Service Providers who will embody our PRIDE values and want to be part of a team that truly makes a difference. Choices Homecare is proudly part of the Optimo Care Group that supports service users across the UK with over 1,500 dedicated employees. We collaborate with local authorities, healthcare providers, and care professionals to deliver outcome-focused care.

Working hours: Our service provides care 7 days a week between 06:00 – 23:00. We welcome applicants who seek both full-time and part-time hours. Please indicate your preference of working days and hours at the first point of contact with our colleagues.

Location: Barnsley & Penistone region.


Key Responsibilities Of a Care Service Provider

* Supporting individuals with personal care needs such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
* Assisting with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans.
* Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where required.
* Promoting independence and encouraging service users to engage in daily living tasks.
* Building positive relationships with individuals and their families.
* Supporting emotional well-being and recognising signs of distress or changes in behaviour.
* Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
* Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the home.
* Respecting confidentiality and maintaining professional boundaries.


What You'll Need

* A caring, compassionate approach.
* A commitment to putting people first.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Experience preferred but not essential – full training provided.
* Driving licence and own vehicle may be essential within certain routes/locations (We pay 30p per mile fuel allowance).

To Note

* UK Driving Licence holder with access to a vehicle and the ability to provide business insurance.
* Located within 30 minutes of advertised locations based on urgency and provision of service to users.
* This role is not open to applications from those who require sponsorship under the points-based system.
