Are you an inspiring, creative and committed Design Technology teacher looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a passionate educator to join our forward-thinking team and help shape an exciting and dynamic DT curriculum for our students. KEVICC has a long tradition of delivering exceptional learning opportunities in design. With leadership in DT stepping down after a careers spanning more than three decades with us, we are keen to see this established culture both nurtured and grown.
We are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner who can deliver engaging, innovative lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, fostering a love of design, problem-solving and practical creativity. The successful candidate will be committed to high standards, strong classroom practice and continuous improvement. KEVICC has strong design numbers at GCSE and A Level.
This post is suitable for ECTs.
For the right candidate, there is the potential to take on a leadership role within the department—supporting curriculum development, leading student-facing projects and mentoring colleagues as we continue to nurture and grow our provision.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
• Is passionate about Design Technology and the role it plays in empowering young people
• Has strong subject knowledge in one or more areas Product Design, Engineering, Food, Textiles, Graphics, Resistant Materials)
• Can deliver lessons that are both challenging and accessible
• Values practical, hands-on learning and is confident using workshop tools, machinery, and/or digital technologies
• Is reflective, ambitious, and keen to contribute to wider school improvement
• Is open to leading others and taking on additional responsibility as the department expands
