Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS)
East Midlands Region | Hybrid Role
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)
We are working with a small, established firm of Chartered Building Surveyors who are looking to appoint an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) to support the growth of their business in the East Midlands.
This is a hybrid, regional role, combining home working, use of a local satellite office, and occasional visits to the London office. The position has a strong long-term focus, with the aim of building a sustainable regional workload and, over time, establishing a permanent local presence.
The Role
You will take responsibility for delivering a range of professional building surveying services across the region, acting as the primary point of contact for local clients while being supported by an experienced London-based team.
The role will suit someone comfortable working independently, who enjoys managing their own workload and building client relationships, but who also values being part of a close-knit wider business.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivery of core building surveying services, including:
* Building surveys and condition reports
* Contract administration and project management
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and lifecycle advice
* Dilapidations (depending on experience)
* Acting as the main contact for regional clients
* Supporting the growth and development of the East Midlands workload
* Liaising with clients, contractors and consultants
* Assisting with fee proposals and business development where appropriate
About You
* Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS)
* Experience gained within a consultancy or similar professional environment
* Strong technical grounding across core building surveying services
* Comfortable working independently and managing a regional role
* Confident communicator with good client-facing skills
* Full UK driving licence
What’s on Offer
* Salary between £45,000 – £60,000, depending on experience
* Hybrid working (home, satellite office and occasional London visits)
* Opportunity to play a key role in growing a regional presence
* Support from an established, experienced London-based team
* A small, friendly business where directors are accessible and contributions are visible
* Clear progression opportunities as the regional operation develops
Why Consider This Role
This opportunity is well suited to a Chartered Building Surveyor who wants more autonomy and responsibility than a traditional regional role, and who is interested in helping build something long-term within a supportive, close-knit consultancy rather than a large corporate structure.
