Job Summary
One of our prominent clients is looking for a Tender Writer. The client is a global leader in international marine geoscience and offshore construction support, primarily in the energy sector with a focus on renewables. They provide high‑quality, cost‑efficient solutions covering the entire life cycle of assets and projects, from design to decommissioning, with expertise in marine and offshore operations, consultancy, engineering, and operational capabilities to offer true turnkey solutions.
Key Responsibilities
The Tender Writer prepares and submits client proposals under the Commercial Manager’s guidance. The Candidate should be familiar with Marine and Land Surveying Specifications (including Geophysical, Geotechnical, Environmental, UXO surveys) and/or Offshore Construction Support Services. The role upholds our Health, Safety, and Quality values and procedures. Support on Group IMS maintenance and performance management.
* Examine tender documentation, including operational provisions, technical specifications, and commercial requirements.
* Liaise with suppliers, partners, and all internal departments involved in the tendering process and define respective deliverables.
* Define/propose technical solutions, methodologies, execution strategy, and draft work schedules.
* Perform cost calculations and project budgeting.
* Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals, according to client requirements and company guidelines.
* Liaise and attend meetings with the client throughout the entire bid cycle.
* Produce reports and maintain complete records throughout the bidding process to ensure approval, traceability, and ultimately efficient handover to project teams.
* Involved in business development activities from time to time e.g. social media marketing activities or conference and trade show attendance.
* Managing relationships with customers during the tender clarification stages.
* Manage the tender strategy to meet customer requirements.
* Prepare, issue, and follow‑up tenders, pricing/cost spreadsheets, and clarification with related documentation management and filing/archiving (digital and hard copy).
* Proper distribution/collection of documents during preparation, review, and negotiation of tenders.
* Ensure that per each tender, a peer review is properly carried out.
* Liaise with the Technical, Contract, and Procurement Departments for advice on method statements and technical solutions.
* Services/subcontractors’ selection and management until the finalization of the agreement.
* Liaise with the Planning & Risk Manager for tender risks.
Candidate Profile
In addition to having a solid QHSE Advisor profile, the candidate must have at least 2+ years’ experience in a relevant technical role and good written and oral English.
