Year 6 Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel have been approached by a Primary School situated in the outskirts of Burnley to recruit a Year 6 Teaching Assistant. The role is to commence after October half-term. The Head Teacher is looking to interview as soon as possible and is open to applications from level two and level 3 Teaching Assistants.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the class teacher to assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons across a range of subjects, including maths, reading and writing.
* Help implement the school’s behavioural policy.
* May be asked to work on a 1:1 or small group basis to support children who may be below target in terms of academic or social development.
* Support may include assisting pupils preparing for SATs exams (preferable).
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience within a Primary School setting is essential, preferably in Key Stage 2.
* As part of the role, you must have or be willing to obtain appropriate qualifications and training for the position.
* All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
* Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and undertakes safeguarding checks in line with DfE guidance.

The role is temporary, with potential for a permanent position at a later date in some cases. All pay rates quoted include statutory holiday pay (12.07%).
