EHS Advisor – Electrical (HPC) £385 PAYE or £550 Umbrella per day Full time site based - Hinkley Point, Somerset Purpose of role • To assist with ensuring all site Environmental, Health, and Safety standards are adhered to in the delivery of Arabelle Solutions scope of works including Tier2 operations • To be the named first point of contact for all EHS matters for specified work packages • Provide support to the CDM/EHS Manager in the implementation& maintenance of, and improvements to the Arabelle Solutions site management plans and associated documentation. • To assist with the drafting, review, and effective implementation of task specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements Tasks & Responsibilities • Carry out ongoing inspections of the site areas and operations(target of 66% of the time in the field), recording findings on the project software tool(Insight), identifying causation, and raising actions to address • To positively intervene whenever observed site activities do not meet the established EHS requirements of the risk assessment / method statement • To lead by personal example on the reporting of positive observations and at risk conditions & behaviours • Assist the CDM/EHS Manager in coordinating and controlling activities with respect to EHS, especially where interfaces are involved with other contractors or operational areas of plant • Assist the CDM/EHS Manager in ensuring compliance of site activities with the company and site specific EHS Plan, Standards and work instructions • Oversee the effective implementation of the Work Authorisation Form & Permit to Work process Requirements • Minimum of 5-year’s EHS experience on large scale construction sites, preferably in the power construction or oil & gas industry • Experience of supporting Electrical projects – Any electrical qualification advantageous • NEBOSH Certificate • Strong technical knowledge of EHS working practices on a construction site • Strong technical knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation • Able to navigate in an multi-cultural environment
