Seasalt began in 1981 with a small shop in Penzance, selling workwear to local mariners and practical overalls to artists. Today, we’ve grown into a thriving omnichannel retailer with over 80 UK and Ireland stores, 400 wholesale stockists, and a growing international and online footprint. As a B Corp and winner of both Drapers “Best Place to Work” and CIPD’s “Best Recognition Programme”, we care deeply about our people, our communities and our long-term impact. Our Head Office teams provide the foundations that empower our people to drive sustainable growth across the UK and international markets. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll assist in preparing accurate and timely management accounts and partner with budget owners to forecast their overhead costs. You’ll also work closely with the Management Accountant and senior finance leaders to support the financial close process and provide robust financial analysis. This is a great opportunity for someone with management accounting experience who enjoys collaborating with a range of stakeholders. This is a full-time, permanent role which will be based flexibly across our Cornwall head office locations (minimum 40% of working week) and remotely within the UK. Producing other key MI reports to support the month end close and reporting (e.g., retail reports, creditor or stock analysis, wage reporting etc.) Producing key KPI information to analyse the financial result and providing high level commentary on key movements. Producing ad-hoc analysis required by the Management Accountant, Financial Controller or Director of Finance to support the financial result. Building and maintaining partnerships and strong relationships with senior managers and their teams. Communicating finance data to non-finance professionals to enable the internal customer to understand and assess financial performance and make future decisions. Playing a key role in finance change projects, ensuring that projects and initiatives are delivered on time and deliver the required result for the business. The skills you’ll be sharing with the team: AAT qualified or qualified by experience. ACCA/CIMA studier would be desirable. Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to work. Collaborative approach with colleagues across finance and the wider business.
