The Role
We are seeking an empathetic Registered Children’s Nurse in commuting distance of Hartfield to provide dedicated 1:1 night-time bedside care. Although this role takes place in the family home, it remains a clinical, hands-on nursing position, centred around delivering high-quality care to one child while working closely with their family and inducting team members.
We have a vacancy for a part-time nurse working night. Once you have been fully inducted into the package, your shift pattern will be consistent and predictable, offering stability and continuity.
You will be caring for a young child with a tracheostomy. This role requires a Nurse to be fully confident in all aspects of tracheostomy care as you will be inducting and supporting carer’s in the package. Over time, you will naturally build a close, trusting relationship with both the client and his family, becoming a valued and familiar presence in their home.
This is a deeply meaningful role where your clinical expertise and compassionate approach will directly enhance the wellbeing, safety, and comfort of a young person.
Shift Pattern
* various nights 7pm – 7am
A regular working pattern will be confirmed once your induction is complete, giving you full clarity over your rota throughout the year.
Essential Requirements
* NMC registration
* Knowledge of infection control
* Experience in paediatric complex care

Responsibilities
* Provide 1-2-1 support to a child with Complex Care needs.
* Work closely with the Nurse Manager Team to provide quality care to a paediatric client.
* Commit to a regular working pattern and collaborate with Care Coordinators for effective care delivery.
* Build rapport with clients and families, working within the family home to achieve individual goals.
* Potential for growth and development into a supervisor or management role.
Requirements
* Right to work in the UK.
* Commitment to 2 regular shifts per week.
* Ability to provide intensive bedside nursing on waking night shift
* Ability to fit seamlessly into the family setting
* UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
* Compassion, confidence, and a gentle caring nature.
* Experience in delivering care to complex clients, preferably in the community.
* Clean and valid Registered Nurse pin with at least 1 year post-registration experience.
* You must have tracheostomy experience
