As a Support Worker, you will make a real difference to people's lives! Passionate about people, you will enjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life and career too, as you gain the experience and training you need to progress with us.
This is a brand new supported living service in Sandwich, and we have high expectations for our staff. You will receive all the necessary training prior to supporting the person, which will take place locally.
Shift Patterns
This is a 24-hour service; therefore, flexibility is essential. You will be working a range of shifts including nights and some weekends. There is always the option to discuss flexible shifts such as nights only, weekends only, and part-time hours.
Role Responsibilities
* Support workers need to be patient, understanding, and confident in their approach.
* Communication should be honest, boundaried, and consistent, mindful of language used.
* Support individuals to live fulfilling lives.
* Work alongside specialists in multi-disciplinary teams, including Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and others.
While primarily working with one individual, support may sometimes extend to others needing assistance. You will receive training to confidently support in these situations, ensuring effective contribution to the well-being of all individuals in the supported living environment.
This flexible approach helps us maintain a collaborative, team-focused, person-centred environment, ensuring everyone receives the care and attention they deserve.
