Here at Hays we are supporting a dynamic SME in Cheltenham with the recruitment process for an Interim Accounts Assistant to support the day‑to‑day financial operations of the organisation. You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and providing reliable administrative support to the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices, and credit notes
2. Matching, batching, and coding invoices
3. Preparing and issuing customer invoices
4. Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date financial records
5. Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
6. Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
7. Chase aged debt
About You
8. Proven experience in bookkeeping or finance.
9. Strong knowledge of ledgers
10. Proficient in Excel and finance systems.
11. Highly organised, accurate, and confidential.
12. AAT or equivalent desirable.
