Be a Voice of Strength for Women Rebuilding Their Lives

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at a specialist women's hostel in North West London. This is a vital service supporting women affected by homelessness, mental health challenges, trauma, and multiple complex needs.

As a Senior Support Worker, you'll lead by example, providing high-quality, trauma-informed support and guiding a small team to deliver effective, person-centred care that empowers each woman to move forward with dignity and stability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day support to women with complex needs, including mental ill-health, substance misuse, and experiences of domestic abuse or street homelessness
* Support the Team Leader with shift management, supervision, and mentoring of junior staff and volunteers
* Hold a caseload of residents and develop personalised support plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding measures
* Create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment within the hostel
* Liaise with external agencies including mental health teams, housing providers, social services, and community organisations
* Support residents in developing life skills and working towards greater independence
* Ensure all support is trauma-informed, gender-responsive, and culturally sensitive
* Maintain accurate records and ensure high standards of service delivery in line with organisational policies
About You:
* Proven experience supporting vulnerable women, particularly those experiencing homelessness and complex needs
* Strong understanding of trauma, safeguarding, and mental health issues
* Confident in managing challenging behaviour with empathy and professionalism
* Ability to lead, motivate and support a team in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication, organisational, and partnership-working skills
* IT literacy and experience using support databases (e.g., In-Form, CHAIN)
* A relevant qualification in Health & Social Care, Housing, or related field (Level 3 or above preferred)
What We Offer:
* £14.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on experience
* Ongoing training, support, and professional development
* Opportunities for career progression in a growing and supportive organisation
* The chance to make a tangible difference to woman's lives every day

Apply now to join a passionate team making a real impact in the lives of women facing homelessness in London. Together, we can offer hope, safety, and a pathway forward.
