Position: Project Quality Advisor
Location: Milton Park, Oxfordshire or Birchwood, Warrington
Salary: £36,000 - £45,000 DOE
Purpose of the job
As our Quality Advisor, you will support Quality Leads within the business to ensure that business-level quality requirements and improvements are identified and delivered effectively and in accordance with processes. You will also support project and contract management within the organisation to ensure adherence to procedures and maintenance of project quality requirements.
As part of the Project Management Office, the role reports to one of two Quality Managers but is expected to support both Business and Project level quality requirements.
The Quality Advisor will report to
PE&D Quality Managers as part of the PE&D Project Management Office, working alongside all business line Quality Representatives and Project Teams.
Key Accountabilities for a Quality Advisor:
The Project Quality Advisor supports the Quality Leads to meet the requirements of the Project Quality Team and the Business Line Quality and Improvement Team. This includes delivering tasks and providing advice to ensure quality requirements are successfully met across the business. The role also involves developing understanding and knowledge of quality through support to the business and PMO team.
Project Quality Assurance:
* Drafting and authorship of Quality Documentation
* Supporting Project Deliverables
* Logging Project LFE
* Administering Project LTR
* Liaising with Sub-contractors and Clients
* Supporting Internal and Client Audits
* Collecting KPI Data
Corporate Quality Representation:
* Supporting Internal Audits
* Governance Support
* Company Systems Administration
* Supporting External Audits
Business Line Quality Support:
* Producing data to support Business level Quality KPIs
* Supporting Business Line Quality Communications
* Maintaining Business Line Quality Processes, Procedures & Guidance
* Supporting LFE processes
* Collating Stakeholder Feedback Data
* Driving Process Improvement
* Supporting Business Line Governance & Assurance
* Tender Support
* Knowledge Management Administration
Business Improvement:
* Administering Continuous Business Improvement
* Supporting Lean / Six Sigma initiatives
* Driving Process Improvement
* Managing Cost of Non-Conformance Data
* Coordinating Continuous Process Improvements
* Supporting Change Management
Work scope is subject to change to support business needs.
Occupational Skills and Knowledge
* Relevant experience in Quality roles
* Member of CQI or equivalent professional body
Duties and Requirements for our Quality Advisor
Experience in Quality & continuous improvement, including:
* Lean / Six Sigma
* Value Stream Mapping
* LFE, Stakeholder Feedback, Governance, Internal Audit
* QMS/IMS development / Management
* Authoring Quality Management Plans
* Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, 8D)
* Willingness to travel within UK
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Strong written communication skills
Desirable:
* Understanding of nuclear industry
* Experience in highly regulated industries
* Full UK driving licence
