The purpose of a Quality Inspector / Controller is to ensure that products and services meet specific standards of quality and functionality ensuring that defined company processes and project quality documentation are delivered and adhered to throughout all business activities. Key Performance Indicator’s: NCR’s of shortages/non-conforming goods received at client. NCR’s of non-conforming outsourced components post goods received. On Time Delivery In Full (OTIF) Customer feedback Customer issues resolution timeframes. Responsibilities & Duties: Ability to use a variety of inspection equipment provide by the business i.e CMM arms, micrometres, verniers. Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions. A good understanding of the manufacturing tolerances and industry standards. Knowledge of materials and properties. Execution of quality processes and procedures, report quality variances to the Quality Manager. Collaborating to ensure quality processes and inspection methods are fit for purpose. Providing feedback and participation in Continuous Improvement i.e Lessons learnt. The monitoring and control of calibrated items and verification tools at all sites. Ensure all inspected components are identified and traceable back to purchase order / project numbers at all times.
